The dry foam method is done by spraying the foam directly onto the carpet, and then using a wet vacuum to suck it, and any dirt and debris up. The vacuum is just as important as the foam. If the vacuum doesn’t have enough power to get everything off of the floor, then you are wasting your time and money.

Don’t forget to ask what is covered in the quoted price, and find out what extra services are offered, and how much they cost as well. You may also want to ask what types of chemicals are used, how long it usually takes to complete the job, and if any furniture will be moved. In some cases, you may be charged extra for this.

It is important to ask about chemicals, so that you can make certain nothing harmful will be introduced into your home, especially if you have pets or children who spend a lot of time on the carpet. It is a good idea to let the cleaner know what kind of carpet you have in your home, so that they will know what they can and can’t do. Not all commercial cleaning products are safe for every type of carpet.

It is a good idea to do a background check on the company, or at least check with the Better Business Bureau, since you will be letting these people into your home. This is an important step, just for safety’s sake, and your peace of mind.
