San Diego’s Belmont Park

Belmont Park is considered one of the finest amusement parks that one can find in sunny San Diego. Belmont Park is a great place for the whole family with something different for every family member. There are many different kinds of rides, arcade games, roller coasters and other thrilling activities to choose from.

The Giant Dipper Roller Coaster is the Park’s most distinct and popular attraction. Constructed in 1925, the roller coaster has undergone several restorations over the years. This unique roller coaster is like no other and offers steep hills and quick drops as well as speed that can only be called insane. Take a ride on it if you dare!

The endless wave at San Diego’s Belmont Park is a veritable delight for wave riders. Hourly rides can he hired from the Flowrider and even beginners can take lessons here. If you are looking for something exciting other than wave, check out the pulse-racing Chaos or the raceway bumper cars. Though Chaos looks similar to a Ferris wheel, its unique three dimensional, random rolling and rocking, makes it feel like a different ride every time.

Arcade enthusiasts can head straight to the gamelords and the family fun arcade. Children as well as adults are sure to be tempted to spend hours here enjoying the ultimate, irresistible gaming experience. It’s addictive though, so prepared to spend hours here once you enter.

Other thrilling rides that one can enjoy at the park include, krazy kars and the Vertical plunge as well as the infamous ‘plunge’, which is San Diego’s largest heated indoor pool. It is great for diving, swimming and having a blast.

The trampoline and the Crazy Submarine is for those who enjoy extreme thrills and heart-stopping action. For a unique challenge try the Rock Wall. Test your limits and see if you have what it takes to climb all the way to the top.

When you’ve finally had enough of the rides you can still keep yourself occupied with the different activities that abound here. There is always something exciting going on in Belmont Park.

If you are planning an outdoor-theme party for your kid, what better place to host it than Belmont Park! You can rent as huge a part of the park as you want and let your child have a truly enjoyable birthday party. You can get some amazing deals at Belmont Park for hosting birthday as well as private parties.

Belmont Park is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 10pm and on Sundays it is open from 11 am – 8pm. The park is closed from Monday to Thursday and on all major holidays.

No visit to the park is complete without some shopping and dining. Belmont Park has some charming shops selling interesting and unique ware. Don’t leave the park without checking out these shops, you could find something here that you’ve never seen anywhere else before. Belmont Park restaurants offer you fine dining in serene surroundings for a truly wonderful experience.
