Considering the size of the city, it is heartening to see that the residents have managed to maintain that hometown feeling.

Whatever the time of year, it is always the right time to visit San Diego. With near-perfect weather all year round you can experience everything that San Diego has to offer at any time of the year. Swimming is a year-round activity here in waters that reach their annual highest temperatures of 70 degrees and the lowest going down to 55 degrees.

Whale watching is the most popular of all San Diego winter activities. So if you visit this exciting city in winter anytime between December and March you can espy glimpses of the awesome gray whales that migrate from their colder waters at this time of the year.

The picturesque city of Tijuana is a mere twenty-three miles south of San Diego. Once considered a dangerous and out-of-bounds city, Tijuana is actually Mexican hospitality personified. This city has some fantastic shopping, great restaurants and an exciting nightlife.

San Diego is a veritable garden of exotic flowers all year round. The dry climate is perfect for an amazing variety of flowers including wild daisies and roses. Summer has its own flower varieties that are different but just as beautiful as the flowers that bloom in winter.

The world-famous beaches of San Diego are the city’s biggest attraction. Much of everyday life as well as the exotic nightlife centers round the beaches. Before swimming in the waters or indulging in any water-sport activity make sure you read and practice all the safety rules and regulations.

San Diego, the city that never sleeps, has a pulsating nightlife that is very hip and happening. From karaoke, to country dancing, to non-stop live music, there’s something for everyone out there. You could spend the night pub hopping and sample some of the varied action at various places if you like.

The San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Wild Animal Park are two other hugely popular attractions in this amazing city. The 400-acre zoo is home to 4000 animals that have lots of space to roam around in. A visit to the San Diego Zoo is a must if only to see the amazing Pandas. The biggest attraction at the zoo is the baby panda, Su Lin. The Wild Animal Park is spread over 1,800 acres and is committed to preserving wildlife and saving wild animals from extinction.

With so much in store you wouldn’t want to give this city a miss.
