Colorado Pride - Winter Park Skiing

The Winter Park Ski Resort is one of the most popular ski resorts in Colorado. Not only is it one of the most popular ski resorts in Colorado, Winter Park Skiing Resort is also one of the largest. The following paragraphs will discuss Winter Park Ski Resort, as well as some of the reasons as to why it is so popular.

Winter Park skiing is such a great experience in part because of the 300 or more inches of fresh snowfall that falls each season. In addition, the ski runs are all two to five miles long, with over 3,000 acres of skiable, snow covered terrain.

Winter Park Ski Resort provides trails and slopes that are suitable for skiers of all skill levels. While beginners can feel comfortable heading off the trails like the Winter Park Skiing area, more advanced skiers can test their skills in the Vasquez Ridge skiing area.

Winter Park Ski Resort has 25 different ski lifts to transport skiers up the mountainside. It is important to pay close attention to the signs at the bottom of each lift. These signs will mark the skill level required to master the terrain the lift will take you to. For example, the Comet lift will only take you to an easy terrain.

If you are more interested in cross-country skiing than you are in downhill skiing, a Winter Park ski trip may be the perfect vacation for you. In addition to the skiing experience, you can choose to ski on historical trails, that will teach you more about the area's history. Winter Park Skiing Resort offers 12 historical trails, all named after people who have made significant contributions to the development of the area. Included in these Winter Park skiing trails are:

* Mulligan's Mile
* Hughes
* Bradley's Bash
* Cranmer
* Allan Phipps
* Jack Kendrick

Mary Jane, Mt. Maury, Engeldive, Retta's Run, Balch, and Bill Wilson's Way are also historical Winter Park skiing trails that can teach you about the history of the Winter Park area.

At Winter Park Ski Resort, ski equipment rental is always available. Not only that, but ski instruction for children, as well as adults, is available at the resort. If you are planning to bring very small children with you on your Winter Park skiing vacation, Winter Park Skiing Resort offers professional child care services to children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years old. However, in order to utilize the child care services, reservations are needed.

You can purchases pass and tickets, as well as book reservations for your Winter Park skiing vacation by visiting the Water Park Ski Resort's official website. Most often, the online rates for lift tickets are much lower than the on-site rates will be. Besides purchasing lift tickets, or booking reservations, season passes can also be purchased online. Prices will vary, depending on age.
