If you are more interested in cross-country skiing than you are in downhill skiing, a Winter Park ski trip may be the perfect vacation for you. In addition to the skiing experience, you can choose to ski on historical trails, that will teach you more about the area's history. Winter Park Skiing Resort offers 12 historical trails, all named after people who have made significant contributions to the development of the area. Included in these Winter Park skiing trails are:

* Hughes
* Bradley's Bash
* Cranmer
* Allan Phipps
* Jack Kendrick

Mary Jane, Mt. Maury, Engeldive, Retta's Run, Balch, and Bill Wilson's Way are also historical Winter Park skiing trails that can teach you about the history of the Winter Park area.

At Winter Park Ski Resort, ski equipment rental is always available. Not only that, but ski instruction for children, as well as adults, is available at the resort. If you are planning to bring very small children with you on your Winter Park skiing vacation, Winter Park Skiing Resort offers professional child care services to children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years old. However, in order to utilize the child care services, reservations are needed.

You can purchases pass and tickets, as well as book reservations for your Winter Park skiing vacation by visiting the Water Park Ski Resort's official website. Most often, the online rates for lift tickets are much lower than the on-site rates will be. Besides purchasing lift tickets, or booking reservations, season passes can also be purchased online.
