Also, even if you are insured, health insurance does not cover this type of surgery since it is elective and not necessary. Tattoo removal is expensive and may have complications. Because of this you should think twice before you make your final decision to remove the tattoo. Better yet, if you have not gotten a tattoo, think really hard about getting one, especially one that is highly visible. You may love your tattoo now but what about in ten or twenty years from now?
