This television is so named because it is able to digitally process light with the help of an optical semiconductor the digital micro mirror device which is also called the DMD chip. This TV was brought to the market in 1987 by Texas Instruments and now there are more than 50 different manufacturers. This TV comes in both rear and front projection. It also has a minor flaw in its viewing that has been dubbed the rainbow effect.
